Derek Trotter is joining the firm as a senior advisor in the Governmental Affairs and Economic Development practice groups.

Mr. Trotter has more than 16 years of experience in Alabama government and politics, including more than a decade combined as a senior staff member for the governor of Alabama and president pro tempore of the Senate. He has been instrumental in the passage and enactment of numerous major public policy initiatives. Mr. Trotter is a graduate of Auburn University.
