Montgomery, AL – Montgomery Habitat for Humanity holds Habitat Build Day on Saturday, January 25, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM to continue construction on the homes being built as part of the Habitat Blitz Build Initiative. This effort aims to provide affordable housing opportunities for local families. Habitat families and partners will be working on the construction of new homes on 830 Millard Fuller Drive in Montgomery, Alabama.
Build Day work on the home will also be provided by Sheriff Derrick Cunningham and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, highlighting the strong community collaboration that makes such initiatives possible.
Executive Director Susan Johnson shared, “This build day represents the heart of our mission – bringing people together to create stable, affordable housing for deserving families. We’re
grateful to everyone who is helping us make a difference in Montgomery.”
The Blitz Build is an ambitious effort, supported by Montgomery Habitat's dedicated volunteers and local organizations, all of whom share the vision of making homeownership accessible and attainable for more families in Montgomery. The project is made possible through partnerships with local businesses and organizations, including the City of Montgomery, Montgomery County Commission, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, First United Methodist Church, Valley Bank, Chappy's Deli & Trustmark Bank.
