The Chamber brought together many voices at the inaugural member forum of the “Around the Table Series: Addressing Crime” on Monday, July 15, 2024. We recognize crime and violence continue to be a serious problem in the Montgomery area. However, leadership is committed to taking progressive action in the right direction and engaging in elevated discussions about these critical issues. Each law enforcement agency and judicial official is rolling up their sleeves. Our leadership is united, taking action, and fully committed to tackling crime. We will not allow crime to slow Montgomery’s incredible momentum.
The Chamber’s “Around the Table Series” unites representatives from various agencies to discuss solutions to the pressing issues in our region. Bringing together diverse perspectives and expertise is crucial in developing comprehensive and effective strategies. Chamber Chairman Caryn Hughes stated, “Monday’s event was the first in a series, bringing leaders around the table on key issues. The Chamber is committed to driving economic growth and fostering a better quality of life for all.”
Montgomery is working relentlessly to solve real issues, ensuring our efforts are united and impactful. We are grateful to all the leaders who participated, as it demonstrates a shared commitment to making Montgomery a safer place for the business community while continuing our momentum in attracting and retaining talent, fostering economic growth, and as the top international tourism destination in the state. Future sessions in our “Around the Table Series” will continue to provide a platform for an ongoing collaborative dialogue on important topics facing our community.
