Palomar Insurance Corporation, a Montgomery-based insurance brokerage and risk management consulting firm, announced the hiring of Evans Brown as an Account Executive. He graduated from the University of Alabama and worked in the medical industry immediately after college. Brown’s main focus is commercial insurance.
JON MASTERS JOINS MOORE COMPANY REALTY
Jon C. Masters is the latest addition to the Moore Company Realty’s brokerage team. Masters, who joined the firm recently, works with clients in a broad range of fields, including office, retail, industrial and land. “With the volume of business here, I’m doing a little bit of everything,” said Masters, who received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Troy University. He has strong local ties. After being born in Orlando, Masters was raised in Millbrook; he lives in Prattville; and he works in one of Moore Company’s re-purposed buildings in downtown Montgomery.
VENABLE NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CHIEF RISK, COMPLIANCE AND PRIVACY OFFICER FOR ALFA INSURANCE
Alfa Insurance® Executive Vice President and General Counsel Angie Bradwell announced the promotion of Craig Venable to Senior Vice
President, Chief Risk, Compliance and Privacy Officer in mid-April. Venable most recently served as vice president of Audit Services. In his new role, Venable will provide strategic oversight in the development and implementation of effective and cost-efficient programs across all Alfa companies and business units for Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Compliance, Privacy, Audit and Corporate Insurance. He will also provide administrative supervision and guidance to the Audit Services Department and will support the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors in the fulfillment of their functional oversight role.
MONTGOMERY CATHOLIC PREPARATORY SCHOOL NAMES NEW PRINCIPALS
Nancy Foley was named principal at the Holy Spirit Elementary Campus. Foley has served as a fourth-grade teacher at the Holy Spirit campus since it opened in 2012 and has 33 years of teaching experience in Catholic, public and magnet schools. After being named, Foley said, “The word for this school is, ‘dedicated.’ The faculty and families are dedicated to helping our students grow academically and spiritually. In turn, I am dedicated to the teachers, students and families.” Justin Castanza has been named principal at Montgomery Catholic’s Middle/High School campus, a position he is familiar with after serving as interim principal for the 2016-2017 school year. “I am pleased to announce that we are changing Mr. Castanza’s title from interim to Principal. He has done an amazing job this year with our students, faculty and parents, providing many novel and rich experiences for all,” said Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School president Anne Ceasar.
WARREN AVERETT TECHNOLOGY GROUP ADDS EMPLOYEE
Rick Deloney joined Warren Averett Technology Group in April as a Senior Business Development Consultant. Deloney graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He has spent the past 21 years working for Deltacom and EarthLink Business in different roles, but most recently as an Enterprise Account Manager handling a large customer base throughout the United States.
OLIVIA FOSTER JOINS ADMIRAL MOVERS
Olivia Foster has rejoined Admiral Movers as vice president and controller. She will also serve as operations manager. Foster, who was born and raised in Sylacauga, worked at Admiral Movers as move coordinator while attending Huntingdon College, where she graduated with an accounting degree. She became the controller after graduation and assisted with the operations department. Her new duties include overseeing the firm’s finances and ensuring that all paperwork related to moves is complete and accurate. She will schedule the moving crews and work with customers to make their move as seamless as possible.
SERVISFIRST BANK MONTGOMERY WELCOMES NEW VICE PRESIDENT
ServisFirst Bank, a subsidiary of ServisFirst Bancshares, Inc., recently announced the addition of Max Coblentz as Vice President, Commercial Lending within the Montgomery office. Coblentz has a decade of banking experience within the Auburn and Montgomery markets. In his new role, Coblentz will originate, service and close commercial loans and lines of credit in Lee and Montgomery Counties, including commercial real estate and commercial and industrial prospects.

The Barkery announced that Brett Fuller is now a man- aging partner. He also recently received his American Kennel Club certification. Fuller is among just a handful of groomers in the River Region who have received this certification. In addition to his AKC certification, Fuller also received his certification in Pet CPR and is First Aid Certified. Fuller has worked in the veterinary field for more than 20 years and has experience as a veterinarian technician, groomer, practice manager and has also owned his own grooming business.
JOHN HEMMINGS PROMOTED AT ALFA INSURANCE
Alfa Insurance® President Jimmy Parnell announced the promotion of John Hemmings to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in mid May. Hemmings will continue to serve as a senior vice president and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) — a position he’s held since 2011. “I am pleased to announce the centralization of Alfa’s financial functions under John Hemmings in his new position as CFO,” Parnell said. “He has played a vital role in charting a course for greater profitability since joining the Alfa family and will do well providing coordinated leadership to the company’s talented Investment and Finance Department staff.”

Scott Gavitt was recently promoted to Managing Partner of the LongHorn Steakhouse in Montgomery. He started his career at LongHorn Steakhouse in 2001 as a server at the Prattville location. Over the years, he has grown with LongHorn by helping open several new restaurants across the South-
east. Scott lives with his wife Roxy and they have two sons, Tyler and Cody. Scott also enjoys fishing and University of Alabama football.
