Clint Hahn is somewhat new to the capital city, and with TASTE, the wine and tapas bar he owns and runs with his wife Ginger, he’s giving his new home a new way to experience a wide range of wines plus a menu of small-plate dishes perfect for sharing.
When did you open TASTE? May 24, 2017
Are you from Montgomery? No. My father was in the military, and home was wherever we were. I have traveled extensively and spent the last several years in San Antonio, Texas. I returned to Montgomery after getting married to a local, Ginger (Pridgen) Hahn.
What got you interested in opening a wine and tapas bar? I have worked in the restaurant industry for many years and have a passion or great wine and food. When I relocated to the Montgomery area, I felt my concept of a wine/tapas bar would work well since this particular concept was not being represented in the capital city.
Describe the experience at TASTE. TASTE has a very extensive wine list for the area. We offer wine flights that allow our guests to try three different wines at once without the commitment of a glass. From our “Bubblicious” sparkling flight to our “Big Bad Cabs” flight, we have something for everyone. Additionally, we offer a large variety of craft beer, in-house crafted cocktails along with a full bar. Our tapas menu changes frequently and with the seasons to provide variety and freshness. The tapas concept allows guests to order several items and share them, providing a wonderful dining experience.
What’s your favorite thing about your work at TASTE? Not being from Montgomery, I have enjoyed meeting new people in the area, cultivating what I hope will be lifelong relationships and creating what I consider new experiences in food and wine.
What are your interests outside of work? I love sports and try to hit as many beaches as possible, as often as possible.
