Dr. Caroline Abolade, Founder and Owner of Aesthetica Montgomery Med Spa loves helping others look their best, calling herself a “kid in a candy store” when it comes to the continual advancements in her field.
Are you from Montgomery? I am from Nigeria, and I came to the United States with my husband, via a several-year detour in England, in pursuit of the American dream 23 years ago. I became an American citizen in 2019, coming full circle in pursuit of that dream.
What are Aesthetica’s primary services? Its primary services are laser-driven aesthetic treatments including: laser chin and body sculpting; laser hair removal; laser skin resurfacing for age spots, redness, facial vessels and acne scars; laser skin tightening; feminine revitalization; and Vivace RF Microneedling for laser age spots, deep wrinkles, discoloration, fine lines and wrinkles. We offer other services like spa facials, dermaplaning, waxing and more.
Why did you open Aesthetica? Access to aesthetic services has traditionally been exclusive. Aesthetica was opened as a stand-alone medical spa to bring the latest laser technological advances in the anti-aging and beauty industry to the River Region and to make it more accessible and affordable to a more diverse population, spanning all ethnicities.
What’s your favorite thing about what you do? My favorite thing about doing this is the infinite possibilities that abound now in the field. People ask almost incredulously, “You can do that for my skin?”. Yes, we can minimize the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Yes, we can make age spots go away and make facial veins disappear. Yes, we can perform laser hair removal, even on African Americans.
What are your interests outside of work? Travel. Jobs fill your pockets, but adventures fill your soul. My family and I enjoy going far and near around the world and bringing back something beautiful that tells a story. I have lived on three continents so far and plan to see the rest, God willing.
