“Manufacturing is one of the top economic drivers in Montgomery,” said Willie Durham, board chairman of the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce. “With more than 400 industrial companies manufacturing products like surgical equipment, aircraft parts, water heaters, automobiles and branded pharmaceuticals, we hope this event will inspire these students to consider a career in manufacturing.”
Throughout the month, companies like Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama, Montgomery Regional Airport, Bishop Cabinets, Stamp Idea Group, Coca-Cola, DAS, Gerhardi, JR Smith and Baptist Health will demonstrate what they do while drawing attention to rewarding manufacturing careers. Trenholm State Community College is the presenting sponsor for this year’s National Manufacturing Month programming and Gerhardi, INC is the gold sponsor.
