Montgomery Chamber Diversity Summit is Sept. 26
Theme of this year’s event is Diversity and Inclusion: So Now What?
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce Diversity Summit will be Tuesday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel & Spa at the Convention Center. Presenting sponsor is Stivers Ford Lincoln. This year’s theme, Diversity and Inclusion: So Now What?, will demonstrate the value of building and sustaining a diverse, inclusive and engaged workforce at all levels.
The Montgomery Chamber Diversity Summit features experts from throughout the country and local panels discussing the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. This year’s keynote speaker is Rosanna Durruthy, Head of Global Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging at LinkedIn.
Sessions will cover a variety of topics including the business case for diversity, the new IQ, and inclusion training. Presenters will also discuss how to develop greater awareness of other’s challenges, how women can best support each other, and how to avoid insensitive social media messaging. Following the day’s sessions, attendees will be invited to a networking reception sponsored by Alabama State University beginning at 3:30 p.m.
New to this year’s Diversity Summit is a two-day Small Business and Entrepreneur Series on September 25 and 26 that will help participants develop strategies for diversifying their businesses.
