In his role, Rizer will be responsible for maintaining and continually improving the relationship between the military and civilian communities.
“Scott will play a vital role as a communications link between our Maxwell-Gunter Air Force bases, our military community at-large, and state and federal legislators. We are thrilled to have Scott join us in this role for our organization,” said Anna Buckalew, Montgomery Chamber President and CEO.
Scott’s first experiences at Maxwell Air Force Base were as a student at the Squadron Officer School and the Air War College. When he had the opportunity to return to Montgomery for his final assignment as the Commandant of the International Officer School, he readily accepted. He recently retired from the Air War College where he served as Seminar Director and Department of Strategy Instructor.
Scott and his wife Kacy have lived many places in the US and abroad; however, they consciously made the decision that Montgomery was the place they wanted to call “home.”
