Expert volunteer call handlers can provide information on a range of topics including small business loan programs, tax questions, human resources and unemployment questions, workplace safety issues, and more. The volunteers represent companies such as Alabama Power Company, Alabama State University SBDC, Balch Bingham, BBVA, Cadence Bank, Carr Riggs & Ingram, Jackson Thornton, PowerSouth, Regions Bank, River Bank & Trust, ServisFirst Bank, and UA SafeState, with more expected to join.
The call is generously sponsored by the Montgomery Biscuits.
“In times of unprecedented challenge and uncertainty, the ability to speak one-on-one with an expert can not only bring clarity to the chaos of running a business during a crisis, it offers the connection we all need to know that we can recover from this together,” says Montgomery Chamber President & CEO Anna Buckalew. “By connecting people to people, and people to resources, we aim to help our small businesses find opportunities to not only survive but thrive during this time, and to energize the community for a bright future.”
The Chamber will join partners from the City, County, and SBDC at Alabama State University in the coming days to announce additional partnerships and initiatives to support area small businesses as they recover from the impacts of COVID-19, and beyond.
