Monday, June 22, 2020Recover Together Small Business Relief Fund Announces Third Round of Grant Recipients Read more(0) CommentsFriday, June 5, 2020On Friday, June 5, the Recover Together Small Business Relief Fund awarded nearly $70,000 to 22 local small businesses in its first round of funding. The purpose of the Small Business Relief Fund is to provide working capital to local small businesses as they work to continue or resume operations following COVID-19-related impacts. Over 450 applications have been received since the application window opened on June 1 and the Relief Fund will continue to accept applications through June 15. Monday, June 1, 2020Local leaders announced the opening of applications for the Recover Together Small Business Relief Fund which has received over 100 applications at the time of this release. Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation Chairman Willie Durham, Mayor Steven L. Reed and co-chairs of his Economic Impact Task Force, County Commission Chairman Elton Dean and City Council President Charles Jinright, addressed the media today to mark this milestone for the relief fund which was created help small businesses that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
