2021 America's SBDC Day - Alabama SBDC at ASU Virtual Small Business Survive & Thrive Conference

In conjunction with America's SBDC Day Celebration, join us for a virtual Small Business Conference.  This 3.5-hour virtual conference hosted by Alabama SBDC at Alabama State University will provide small business participants with information to adapt, innovate, survive and thrive during this pandemic period.   This event will include valuable sessions on the following: 

10:00 am | Pivoting Your Business Model to Survive the New Normal
During this session, participants will learn ways to adapt to the new normal and survival tips for overcoming the pandemic.  

10:35 am | Year-End COVID19 Tax Planning Tips for Small Business
This session will provide participants with clarity on the legal structure, payroll compensations, upcoming filing dates, and other year-end tax tips. This session is led by Trevor Small of Simplified Management Products (SMP), Inc. 

11:15 am | Disaster Planning and Recovery Tools for Small Business
During this session, participants will be provided with tips to create disaster preparedness and recovery strategies to help their business mitigate risk through the implementation of critical measures which they can take to protect their company’s bottom line.  The session will also cover the components of a Disaster Plan a key to recovery.  This session is led by Tai Aracen, Disaster Preparedness and Recovery Strategies Consultant.

Noon | Is Franchising Right for You? 
This session will help participants explore the idea of buying a franchise is the right decision for them. The session is led by Jerry Bird, FranNet of Alabama & East Tennessee

1:00 pm | Government Contracting 101:  The Basic Checklist
This session will provide participants with basics steps and requirements to do business with the government.
