Brooke Champagne and Jason McCall read from new work at The NewSouth Bookstore

A lovely evening awaits us with readings from new work by Brooke Champagne and Jason McCall, scheduled on Thursday, December 12 at 5:30pm. Champagne’s newest book, Nola Face, is a collection of essays that explore topics of family, identity, memory, and the complicated ways in which we relate to each other. McCall’s Razed by TV Sets, also a book of essays, plumbs the ways in which depictions of race and masculinity have shaped how the author sees himself and others. Both smart writers, Champagne and McCall find meaning in the everyday — in our activities, our culture, our bonds.
