Hank Williams turns 101 on Sept., 17, 2024. The Hank Williams Museum will host a celebration of his life and music on Saturday, Sept. 14. The show will be held at the Davis Theatre located at 251 Montgomery Street. Showtime is 3pm. The Museum will be open from 10am-4pm that day.
The show will feature The Malpass Brothers and more artists inspired by Hank Williams. North Carolina brothers Chris and Taylor were influenced by Hank, Haggard, Waylon, Elvis, Jones and the Louvin Brothers. The Malpass Brothers are the definition of country music! The brothers consider themselves "Bluegrass Old School" and were born 50 years too late.
Saturday morning at 9, we will hold the annual memorial service at Oakwood Cemetery Annex commemorating the 101st birth of Hank Williams. Music will be presented by the Sheppard Family from Banks, AL.
