Montgomery, Ala. (November 25, 2024) — Montgomery County is proud to announce its first-ever Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, a festive celebration that promises to bring holiday cheer to the entire community.
The event will take place on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 6:00 PM in front of the Phelps Price Justice Center, Montgomery County Courthouse, located at 251 S. Lawrence Street, Montgomery, AL 36104.
This inaugural event will feature the lighting of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, symbolizing joy, unity, and the spirit of the holiday season. Attendees can enjoy holiday music, complimentary hot cocoa, and family-friendly activities from local organizations to kick off the season with family and friends.
“This is an exciting moment for Montgomery County, as we come together to create a new tradition,” said Montgomery County Commission Chairman Doug Singleton. “The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is a wonderful way to celebrate the magic of the holidays and the strength of our county.”
The event is free and open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to come early to secure a great spot and take part in this historic moment for Montgomery County.
