Winter Zoofari Camp at Montgomery Zoo
December 20, 2024MONTGOMERY ZOO (Montgomery, AL): Close out the holidays or ring in the New Year with a WILDLIFE bang! The Montgomery Zoo is thrilled to bring back Zoofari Winter Camp, a unique and exciting opportunity for children to explore the wonders of wildlife through engaging activities, crafts, and behind-the-scenes animal encounters.
This winter-themed camp provides kids aged 5–12 a fun-filled experience that blends education with adventure. Campers can join for a single day, a few days, or the entire camp, creating a customized schedule that suits every family’s needs. Attendees will get to enjoy train rides, scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, and more. Bring your camper to see behind the scenes activities that they’ll never forget. Each day campers will be provided snacks and lunch. All campers will receive a camp shirt and water bottle. Camp runs the last two weeks of the year on the following dates: December 23, 24, 26, 27, 30, 31, January 2 and 3.
Fees for Zoofari Winter camp start at $60 for Montgomery Zoo members per day and $70 for non-members. If you purchase 2+ days, the price is $50 for members and $60 for non-members. The fee for all eight days is $410 for members and $490 for non-members. Advanced reservations are required. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Camp runs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm daily. Extended hours are an additional $5 per day.

The Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum is a 42-acre zoological facility located minutes from the heart of historic, downtown Montgomery. The Montgomery Zoo features a variety of exotic animals native to Africa, Asia, Australia, North America, and South America. A trademark addition of the Zoo is the Mann Wildlife Learning Museum, housing the one of the Southeast’s largest collections of preserved North American wildlife, artifacts, and fossils.
Daily operating hours: 9am - 5pm, with last admission at 4pm.
Admission: Adults $18, Children (3-12 years) $14, Toddlers (2 years and under) FREE, and Seniors 65 years old and older $16.
