  • Chief of Staff Jerime Reed Visits Centenarian Thomas Milton Brundidge to Deliver Mayoral Proclamation

    Montgomery, AL – The City of Montgomery proudly honored the remarkable life and legacy of Mr. Thomas Milton Brundidge on February 19, 2025, as he celebrated his 100th birthday. In recognition of this extraordinary milestone, Montgomery Chief of Staff Jerime Reed visited Mr. Brundidge to deliver an official proclamation from Mayor Steven L. Reed, declaring February 19 as Thomas Milton Brundidge Day in the City of Montgomery.

    Mr. Brundidge’s century of life is marked by unwavering service to his country, community, and family. A distinguished veteran, he served in the United States Army for an exceptional 28 years, bravely fighting in both the Vietnam and Korean Wars. His dedication to the nation exemplifies the highest ideals of patriotism and sacrifice.
    Following his military career, Mr. Brundidge continued his service by working for a decade as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Veterans Affairs Hospital, providing compassionate care to fellow veterans. A proud Alabama native from Pike County, he has been a longtime resident of Montgomery, living in the same home for more than 50 years and contributing to the fabric of the community.

    Beyond his professional and military achievements, Mr. Brundidge’s 71-year marriage to his beloved wife is a testament to enduring love and family values. His steadfast commitment to service, family, and community serves as an inspiration to all.
