WHO: Trenholm State Community College
WHAT: Trenholm State Community College in partnership with Alabama State University is proud to host the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) HBCU Scholars SOAR Summer Program. SOAR, which stands for Seeking Observing & Achieving Results, will provide 94 rising seniors from 17 states the opportunity to discover academic and career opportunities available after high school at HBCUs and HBCCs in the River Region.

Trenholm State Community College, Patterson Site – Building D, 3920 Troy Highway
BACKGROUND: This weeklong residential summer program promotes:
- collegiate transitional skills
- business etiquette
- leadership development
- exposure to academic programming
During the week-long stay students will participate in seminars, presentations, networking opportunities and workshops to learn about college preparation skills and to learn about HBCUs and HBCCs.
The TMCF HBCU Scholars Program will take place June 23rd through June 28th on the campuses of Alabama State University (host) and Trenholm State Community College.
About Trenholm State Community College: H. Councill Trenholm State Community College is a comprehensive two-year community college located in Montgomery, AL. The college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to provide technical certificates and associate degree programs.
