Montgomery Zoo Open for Labor Day

MONTGOMERY ZOO (Montgomery, AL):  The Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum will be open on Labor Day, Monday, September 2. We look forward to seeing you and your family enjoy this holiday exploring the great outdoors and the continents of the world while visiting the Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum. 

The Overlook Café will be having a special combo on the menu for Labor Day: barbeque sandwich, coleslaw, sweet potato casserole, and a soda for $13.00. This will be limited quantity.

“We are excited to offer an outdoor activity for this holiday that is perfect for the whole family. Most people probably don’t think of the zoo when they think of Labor Day, but it is the perfect experience to get folks out of the house and involved with an educational adventure,” Bailey Glasgow, Montgomery Zoo’s Marketing and Public Relations Manager, says.

The Montgomery Zoo is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.

Admission includes:

-- Admission to the Zoo

-- Admission to the Mann Wildlife Learning Museum

-- Entry to Parakeet Cove open daily from 10:00am – 3:00pm

-- Entry to Waters of the World, open daily 10:00am – 1:00pm

-- Entry to our Reptile Facility

-- Admission to Daily keeper talk at 11:30am and 1:30pm

Additional adventures and attractions include:

-- Train ride: $3 per person

-- Giraffe Encounter: $3 per person

-- Sky Lift Ride: $5 per person

-- Parakeet feed sticks: $2 per stick

The Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum is a 42-acre zoological facility located minutes from the heart of historic, downtown Montgomery. The Montgomery Zoo features a variety of exotic animals native to Africa, Asia, Australia, North America, and South America. A trademark addition of the Zoo is the Mann Wildlife Learning Museum, housing the one of the Southeast’s largest collections of preserved North American wildlife, artifacts, and fossils. The Montgomery Zoo is a department of the City of Montgomery.

Daily operating hours: 9am – 5pm, with last admission at 4pm.

Admission: Adults $18, Children (3-12 years) $14, Toddlers (2 years and under) FREE, and Seniors 65 years old and older $16.
