The Chamber’s Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) program launched as a result of the Imagine a Greater Montgomery initiative and is directly responsible for securing and growing over 10,500 announced jobs in the region’s economy since 2010. The Montgomery Chamber’s Existing Industry Program assists local companies with expansion plans and issues that affect the Montgomery area manufacturing and industrial community.
In 2017, Montgomery announced jobs and capital investment from new and expanding industries comprising 30 companies, 1,056 jobs and an investment of $204.9 million. Of the 30 increases in investment and employment last year, 24 are existing companies, demonstrating confidence and trust in the community by making the decision to grow here.
